If you purchased a parking permit by February 11th it will be mailed to you. However, if you submitted your registration and/or purchased a parking permit after February 11th you will need to pick up your parking permit at the conference registration desk. Please note – if you pick up your parking permit you will need to return to your vehicle to place the permit in your car to avoid receiving a ticket. The parking permits are for the Virginia Avenue Parking Garage, 901 Virginia Ave, Columbia, MO 65201-5225. Please visit map.missouri.edu for directions. Even with a parking pass, you must avoid restricted parking spaces, such as handicap spaces.

If you are staying at the Hampton Inn or the DoubleTree Hotel, you may opt to walk from the hotel to the conference facility. Each hotel is approximately 0.8 miles, or about a 15 minute walk, to the Christopher Life Sciences Center. Conference events will take place mostly at Bond and the Hampton Inn.

Travel to Columbia

Flying

Columbia Regional Airport (COU) offers connections through Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth. The airport is 10 miles south of Columbia, with multiple forms of ground transportation easily accessible. Inexpensive taxi service, (approx. $25) is available to the hotel or campus. Rental cars are also available with Hertz and Enterprise.

For those who�d rather fly into a larger airport, Columbia is located midway between airports in
St. Louis International (STL)
and Kansas City International (MCI). Columbia is about a 2-hour drive from the St. Louis airport (STL) and a 2.5-hour drive from the Kansas City Airport (MCI). The MO-X shuttle has several regularly scheduled trips from both airports to any location in Columbia. From Columbia Regional Airport (COU)

There are many ground transportation options from the Columbia Regional Airport.

  • Shuttles/Taxis(Columbia rates vary from $18-$25). You can usually catch a taxi service right in front of the mail terminal.
  • Rental carservices through Hertz and Enterprise are available in the main lobby.

Reservations at the conference rate of $114.00 + tax per night is guaranteed if made by January 29, 2016, then on a space available basis until the conference date. When reserving your room at The Hampton Inn and Suites, ask for the �UFWH Summit� room block for the conference rate!
